Re: Uh oh Cream
He turned 80 in August. When I was in high school there was like a deadpool on what rocks stars would be the first to die back then, Ginger or Keith Richards always topped the list. lol
Anyway, I got word of Ginger's illness as I left town for a few days. He, of course, has a multitude of health issues. As it stands he's doing a bit better at last report. I actually have some connections with the Baker family by way of his son Kofi who I've met on a few occasions and lives just down the toll road in Hobart, Indiana as well as Ginger's daughter Nettie who I am Facebook friends with and speak frequently with on Messenger. Nettie has written a couple of books on how it was growing up as Ginger's daughter as well as ghostwriting her dad's bestselling auto-biography a few years ago.

If what she says is true, she used a pair of tweezers.

Re: Uh oh Cream
Yep....saw this. Bronx Girl and I have already discussed it and while we would love to go it would prolly cost about 4k for the both of us and that's a bit pricey for what would amount to be about a 2 hour concert. I love Eric and what he's doing but I'm afraid we gotta pass this time. Now IF he brings this to the States it's game on!!!
Anyway, Bronx Girl and I have already got tickets to see Billy Joel at Notre Dame stadium in June!

Claims it was taken out of context and he was being sarcastic and ironic .. probably not .. i'm sure Moon and Entwhistle were like a beautiful girl you love completely but is completely high maintenance and frustrates the hell out of you , but when she's good to you, like in concert and recording a song, its worth all the trouble. .. that's my take ..
Even Daltrey in his book called Moon a pain in the ass (paraphrasing here). Said about 25% of his antics were funny and the rest were just a giant asspain that you put with b/c of his talent .. No secret these guys didn't along very well.

Re: Uh oh Cream
I agree 100%. Moon was clearly a dual-diagnosis of mental illness and addictions....a hard combination to tolerate. For that matter my drum hero Baker pretty much had the same diagnosis. People love to have the talent aboard but there is a price to pay and often adverse consequences.
As for Pete, as brutally honest as he might have been he's a classic example of an old bastard who can't help but let it fly regardless how it might sound to others....including loved ones of the deceased.

I wouldn't doubt that Pete's comments were taken out of context to some extent. But what long term relationship doesn't have those "fuck, how much more of this can I stand" moments?
Mick and Keith don't always get along very well either. The late 70's Yankees wanted to kill each other.
