You guys have said this about him from day one and yet every year he's spent more time on the DL than the pitcher's mound. I want to see him put a full year together before I start singing his praises. It ain't happened yet.

Is it possible he's been hurt since day one, and only after this latest prolonged rest he's back to an injury free state ? Plus he's older. Could he have been rushed by the ever impatient sox brass. Be great if he lived up to his draft hype.

Might explain why they are being so patient with Cease, Jiminez, and the rest. Why rush them up to play this season? How many at bats and innings were players supposed to have under their belts before being called up in a bygone era?
