Tax bill prediction Empty Tax bill prediction

My prediction on this new tax bill by the GOP is exactly this:  They will pass it, regardless of strong public sentiment against it because they pretty well know they are toast in 2018 and likely in 2020.  By passing it, they are going to create a very large additional hole in the deficit, and the current deficits of -$550 Billion will become something closer to -$800 Billion and essentially tie the hands of Dems during the time they hold power.  Thusly, the entirety of the time they are in power will be spent dealing with all of the noise about the growing deficit and force them to be, basically, ineffective while they are forced to make cuts and do absolutely nothing on the side of infrastructure that can create growth and update the condition of our country.  It's clear as day what is going to happen.  It's what always happens.  GOP cuts taxes and raises the deficit, and then complains about the deficit when the Dems are in power.  It's the same old cycle over and over again, and it's happening now, and will continue into the future.  Folks have too short of memories to remember to do anything about it.

    Not exactly a liberal rag....Forbes.

Sounds like they predict this will be hailed as one of the biggest legislative blunders in history.

Funny you posted that link.  I posted the same link to FB yesterday...although I note that the guy is a contributor and not on staff at Forbes, so not conservative Forbes isn't exactly on board with his opinions.
