I've been watching Oprah's WW interviews (except the one with The Rock). The first one with Lady Gaga was very inspirational for someone who deals with chronic pain like I do. She referred to "radical exceptance" as the way she gets through the day, and is still living her best life even though she is in head-to-toe pain everyday. So I decided to follow her example and accept the invitation from Gab's host family to be their guest in France. I had enough points on our credit card to pay for the flight, and I had a drawer full of my holiday tips that I get from my owners, so next Friday, I will be leaving for Paris. After a few days there, we are going to Rome for a few days, then back to Paris to catch a bus to Angers, which is where Gab has been living with her host family. I'm scared out of my mind about traveling alone, given the fact that a sneeze could render me incapacitated for days, and I'm not a big fan of flying, but at least my flight is direct. It will be worth it to see my baby girl, who I haven't seen since August, and to meet the wonderful family that she's been living with.
