Waffle House Shooter's Dad

I don't care what loopholes there are in Illinois law, the Waffle House Shooter's Dad should be arrested and prosecuted for something. His son is clearly mentally ill, he's told not to give him guns, and he gives him guns. There's some kind of negligence there, and 4 people are dead because of it. And while you're at it, if someone is mentally ill and they can't have guns, confiscate them...don't give them to someone as long as he pinky swears not to give them to the mentally ill person.

I've said that all along. If a legal gun owner's gun is missing and not reported and that gun is used in a crime, the legal gun owner needs to be charged as an accessory to said crime. Maybe then they will keep better accounting of their lethal "collectibles." In this case, the father was told not to give him access to the guns. He did, therefore he needs to be charged at least as an accessory.
