Schilling died at 83. He was a 2nd baseman for the Red Sox from 1961-65. He has a career batting average of .239, obp .304, slugging % .317 with 23 homers and 146 career RBIs. He led the AL in plate appearances as a rookie in 1961.
So why I am posting this? Because my first good baseball glove, which I still have, and used all thru little league, was a Chuck Schilling model. He's immortal in my house.
