Modern day GOP Empty Modern day GOP

Post by SoxIlliniRob Wed Nov 28, 2018 8:59 pm

[ltr]Here is a good example of the modern day GOP. [/ltr]
[ltr]1. Michigan residents put minimum wage increase referendum on midterm election ballot.[/ltr]
[ltr]2. GOP legislature passes a minimum wage increase, which causes the referendum to be dropped off of the ballot of the midterm. Good, right?[/ltr]
[ltr]3. GOP legislature reverses and repeals much of the minimum wage law during lame duck period after the election. [/ltr]

[ltr]This is initially stunning to hear, but it's what I've come to expect. I guess if it's legal, it's ok. [/ltr]

That unfucking believable....now, if there isn't a billboard every 20 miles paid for by the democratic national committee broadcasting this from high heaven, they deserve to lose Michigan again

This is the same GOP who stripped governor powers in NC after dem was elected, and the same GOP who plan to do the same in Wisconsin.  Un-fucking-believable.

Yeah, saw that.  They don't like having a Dem governor, so they passed laws that rendered him powerless.  How people vote for this shit amazes me.
